Terms and Condition
We are not currently providing packaging services. The packaging must be done by the end customer. A parcel moves through various hands and checkpoints, both within and outside Brightsun Freight's control (airline, loaders, etc.). Hence, we strongly recommend using sturdy, transit-worthy packaging material suitable for the parcel to avoid any damage to the inner contents. Please note that in case of any damage caused to the parcel due to poor packaging, Brightsun Freight will not assume liability or compensation for such damages or loss. If any amount is paid during pickup outside the application, Brightsun is not responsible for it.
Refunds for a Btres booking can only be processed if the shipment is not confirmed in our system after pickup. If the shipment is booked in the branch, then upon cancellation, there will be no refund of the original booking amount. If the shipment is cancelled before booking, the full amount paid during booking will be refunded. In case the shipment was picked up, it will also be returned to the original customer.
During booking, if the risk surcharge is not selected, the maximum liability of the company will be as per Brightsun's policy. Risk surcharge is a value-added service available for our customers to further insure the value of the shipment in the rare event of damage or loss. Risk Surcharge is based on the declared value of the shipment's contents. There are two different types of Risk Surcharge available: Owner’s Risk (where the customer may have their own insurance for the shipment) and Carrier Risk (where Brightsun assumes responsibility for the value of the shipment's contents).
In case of a weight mismatch, a customer representative will reach out to you if the weight or dimensions are found to be higher than stated during booking. If any additional amount is required, they will seek your consent on whether you want to pay. If you agree, a payment link will be sent to your email. If you do not wish to pay and want the shipment back, the shipment will be returned to you, and the booking cancelled with a refund of the booking amount.
For international bookings, please ensure that the shipment is accompanied by all necessary documentation. The documents need to be shared with the messenger during pickup and, if required, later via email. If the documents are not provided, the shipment will be held up at the international gateway and cannot be forwarded. The shipment will then be arranged to be returned to the customer, and the refund for the same will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
One box of shipment will be allowed per booking. Multiple boxes must be booked separately. Brightsun will store and/or retain customer information and booking details for statutory and legal compliance, KYC, and for the convenience of regular customers. Customer information or data is stored by Brightsun in a secure manner and privacy is maintained, except when Brightsun is legally bound to share it with authorities as required by law.
Packaging charges paid by customers for packing opted during drop-off will not be refunded once the shipment is booked.
